This project is a wonderful example of a granny unit built in Lake County, California. Although it is only 970 s.f., it enjoys views from one living space into another, with the central living area one and a half storys in height thus accomplishing a feeling of a much larger home. The feeling of spaciousness is further reinforced by physically extending the living spaces out to the exterior through the addition of deck space out to the beautiful southern view from all the main living areas of the home. This home was built as a guest house, but now provides a year round home for its owners.
